It focuses on the Natural History of Long Island. from its birth as a mere slip of glacal till through its first nati ves, colonization, and on touts growth a5 an island habitat of enormous richness and diversity. Kids learn by doing, by playing, by questioning, and by full engagement with the natural and human resources of New York.
Karen De Mauro is the Artistic Director of The Acting Center. she is also a professional storyteller who has performed at the Intrepid Science Museum, Prospect Park Audubon and CUNY’s Nature of NY Program. She directed for The United Nations and for The Living History Project of The Smithsonian Institution and has over A? years as an Artist-In-Residence. She was also awarded a 2008 Acadia National Park Artist Residency.
