From the first moment, Karen De Mauro gets a roomful of students and teachers on their feet thinking, moving, learning and singing. Her energy and joy inspire participants to journey with her as she leads them in a playful exploration of drama. Using over 30 years of professional theatre experience, Karen creates original pieces with a deep respect for personal vision to tap the artist in everyone.

Program details:

• Karen begins research on your topic long before she arrives to forge exciting curriculum links
• Interactive classroom workshops and writing sessions begin and students form a storyline
• 100 students get parts and learn and practice dance numbers, songs and scenes
• Participants present the show to their school and community

Throughout the exciting fun-filled Performance Demo, De Mauro accompanies students to give them a positive
performance experience. The program meets NY State Learning Standards and transmits theatre skills that are also
life skills such as focus, motivation, and problem solving. Family versions are also available.
